The Yankees have not been able to match the Red Sox pick-ups this offseason and they will have a gaping hole in their rotation if Andy Pettitte retires, and it sure looks like he is done. Their answer may be none other than Bartolo ‘el Gordo’ Colon. (Bartolo has apparently lost 40 pounds so we may have to change the nickname to ‘el gordito’.)
Colon went 4-2 with the Red Sox in 2008 before going on the DL and then the suspended list for disapearing in the D.R. He last pitched in the majors with the White Sox in 2009.
C.C. may have some competition at the Yankee buffet.
