Just in time for the 2014, that massive plot of land just beyond left field at Busch Stadium in St. Louis has been transformed into Ballpark Village…the city’s newest dining and entertainment district.
Outfitted with a number of sports bars, retail space and more St. Louis Cardinals and Budweiser tie-ins than you can shake a stick at…the first phase of the long overdue project is complete and has already been facing some scrutiny.
You see, a number of the venues within the $100 million (and counting) venue have a rather interesting dress code.
According to the joint’s website (and publicized by Deadspin), there’s this:
The following is not permitted under our dress code after 9pm: sleeveless shirts on men, profanity on clothing, exposed undergarments on men, sweat pants, full sweat suits, excessively long shirts (when standing upright with arms at your side, the bottom of your shirt can not extend below the tip of your fingers), athletic shorts, excessively sagging pants or shorts, and bandanas.
The Budweiser Brewhouse even goes as far to not allow hats.
So…you’ve gotta wonder how they feel about a grown man in a bird costume riding a mechanical bull.
