Is the NHL Trying to Keep Us from Voting for Avery?

-8

There’s been a lot of confusion regarding the daily limits on voting for the NHL All Star game.

Most fans are under the impression that there is a 30 vote limit per day, based on this wording on the on-line ballot:

After you vote, you will be entered* for a chance to win a trip for two to the 2011 NHL All-Star Game.

*Limit 30 sweeptstakes entries per day

However, it says a limit of “30 sweepstakes entries” not 30 VOTES per day. So I tweeted @NHL and they promptly got back to me stating that the daily limit of votes is 30 as stated on the ballot.

When I pressed them on the above wording argument, I received no response. Add on the fact that after your 30th vote you still get a message stating that your vote has been approved and I smell a conspiracy by the NHL to keep Sean Avery out of the All Star game.

I am still awaiting response from @NHL as well as from the NHL’s Director of Social Media Michael Dilorenzo (@NHLdilo). If I ever receive a response, I’ll let you know.

Until then, I say vote away. If you’re getting a message that the vote is accepted I assume it is.

To vote for Avery you can either go to NHL.com or text “Sean Avery” to 81812.
