This season’s Mr. Irrelevant placed seventh in Rookie of the Year voting. Isaiah Thomas received no first place votes, but finished with 28 total points towards the NBA’s annual award honoring its best first-year player.
Only Thomas and this year’s winner, Kyrie Irving, won multiple Rookie of the Month awards. Thomas earned honors in February and March after becoming the Sacramento Kings’ starting point guard. Drafted 60th overall, Thomas finished with season averages of 11.5 points and 4.1 assists in 25.5 minutes per game.
