The Islanders announced their first round of cuts on Saturday to the team’s training camp roster.
Casey Bailey, Scott Eansor, Jeff Kubiak, Ben Holmstrom, Travis St. Denis and Yannick Turcotte were released from their professional tryout contracts. Bailey had appeared in Friday night’s game against the Rangers in Bridgeport.
The following players were sent down to AHL Bridgeport: Sebastian Aho, Kyle Burroughs, Michael Dal Colle, Tanner Fritz, Ross Johnston, Kane LaFranchise, Eamon McAdam, Kyle Schempp, John Stevens, Devon Toews, Mitchell Vande Sompel and Parker Wotherspoon. The Sound Tigers training camp opens on Monday at Webster Bank Arena.
The Islanders training camp roster is now down to 31 players.
