The Islanders inked defenseman Luca Sbisa to a one-year deal, the team announced on Monday.
The news came hours after the Islanders made a second round of cuts to their roster earlier in the day. Sbisa was at the team’s training camp on a tryout contract.
Sbisa appeared in 30 games for the Vegas Golden Knights last season and recorded 14 points (two goals, 12 assists).
