It could have been much worse…

Like I said, when the Buckeyes don’t play my mind wanders. Hooray for ADD.

Earlier, we were amongst the first to introduce you to the “new”/throwback/homage uniforms that Ohio State wore in The Game. There was much debate and some gnashing of teeth about the look, whether or not it was a true throwback, and if it should have been something that was better saved for another matchup.

However, I can say that they seemed to work out pretty well.

Today is Florida’s turn to bow to the Gods at Nike. And, I’ve got to say, that Ohio State got lucky to have a classic look. We could have gotten this:

Yup. Chaps. Not that theres anything wrong with that.
Yup. Chaps. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Of course, given that they may be playing Texas in the National Championship game, perhaps they’re getting in the spirit:

Yeah... thats better
Yeah… that’s better

Of course, what could be expected for Florida- remember, they’ve only been playing football since the 1980s… not much history to fall back on. Not that it matters much to Urban.

I’ve also gotten a lot of opportunities to see Chic Fil A commercials, and have two observations. First, the logo seems awfully familiar, but I can’t seem to place it. Second, what do you see here?

looks familiar...
Nice jerseys…

If you’re like me (although who really wants that?) you can’t help but notice how much love this Georgia based company is giving to the Buckeyes.

Now that’s a uniform I can support.
