After all the late night rumors and Hail Mary attempts to salvage the relationship this morning, it is now official. Jerry Dipoto resigns as the Angels GM.

Even if you didn’t like what Dipoto did with the Angels, this is a disaster. The Angels, who have yet to issue a statement, are now without a GM one month before the trade deadline. The team is also once again embroiled in controversy right win the team has started winning again.
In the immediate future, the Angels need to name an interim GM. Internal candidates appear to be Matt Klentak and Hal Morris. Scott Servais and Bill Stoneman have both been mentioned, but neither are likely. There are also rumblings that Bud Black could be hired into the role in the ultimate display of Scioscia nepotism.
We will update this post as more details come out.
UPDATE!
Bill Stoneman has been named the interim GM with the front office otherwise remaining intact.
Source: Bill Stoneman will become the #Angels' interim GM, with Matt Klentak basically serving as his No. 2. No Bud Black.

The Angels are literally de-evolving before our very eyes.
