It looks like the SNL ‘The Other Cavaliers skit is starting to come to form.
Here we are, two games in — and the Celtics now have a commanding 2-0 lead over the Cavaliers. Going into this game, we all thought angry Bron would come out and the Cavs would answer. Angry Bron did come back, scoring 42 points — and they still got killed. It’s not all about the Cavaliers struggle — it’s about the Celtics being unafraid, and ready to dethrone the king. Everybody has a plan until the get punched in the mouth right? The Celtics got punched in the mouth early in the game and then responded big time in the third quarter. That’s what big time teams do, they aren’t afraid of SHIT.
I am starting to think this playoffs has been the Celtics ‘click moment’ — meaning a dynasty is incoming. Just like how the Warriors just clicked back in 2015, like how the Bulls clicked in the early 90s, you name it. The Celtics are here, and they are very much here to stay for a long long time. They will only get stronger when they return Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward next season, with a potential Finals berth this season. This might sound crazy, but I think the Celtics have a chance to beat Golden State. We have to wait for that, but I can’t doubt this team anymore.
