Prior to the New York Mets NLCS against the Los Angeles Dodgers, Matt Harvey made some minor ripples in The Big Apple after missing a mandatory team workout.
What made matters worse was the idea that the pitcher couldn’t keep his story straight as to why he was absent. Was he stuck in traffic? Did he lose track of time?!? We’ll probably never know for sure!
Until now. Maybe?
Rumor around the campfire now is that Harvey might’ve missed the practice because he had just called it quits with his (now) ex-girlfriend, Polish model Ania Cywinksa. Seems plausible. According to the hurler’s rep, the pair “mutually decided to split” after about eight months together, but fret not…she went on to add that dude’s already moved on.
“Matt’s focus is on winning the World Series,” she said.
Do we care? Should we care?!?
If your answer to both isn’t a big “NO”…you’re doing this World Series all wrong. Harvey’s Mets return home to take on Kansas City Friday night.
