J.J. Hickson’s overseas experience ends abruptly

Well that was fast.  Sacramento Kings forward J.J. Hickson’s stay in the Israeli League is over after just one game.

Cowbell Kingdom’s Noam Schiller shared the news on Twitter, roughly translating two Hebrew reports on Hickson’s release.  One story says Hickson allegedly arrived late to two straight practices.  Another says he decided to leave due to homesickness.

Dubi Pick of Eurobasket.com reports that Hickson’s agency, ASM Sports, is working to void his contract so he can return to the states next week.

In his lone appearance for Bnei HaSharon, Hickson scored 20 points on eight of 12 shooting in a blowout loss to Hapoel Holon.  Schiller has a recap and analysis of Hickson’s one game stay that you can read here.
