On Saturday afternoon, the Philadelphia Phillies and SS Jimmy Rollins came to an agreement on a three year contract worth $33 million dollars. In this contract there is also a vesting fourth year option that is worth $11 million dollars. The fourth year option is going to be based on plate appearances in 2013 and/or in 2014.
Last season, Rollins played in 142 games and batted .268, with 16 homeruns and 63 RBI. Rollins, last season also had 30 stolen bases. Over his career, Rollins is batting .272, with 170 homeruns and 725 RBI.
