Jim Calhoun and the UConn Huskies men’s basketball program has lost out on yet another recruit. Mount Vernon, NY point guard Jabarie Hinds has chosen to play his college basketball in the Big East at West Virginia under Bob Huggins.
Besides UConn, Hinds had been also considerning the UNLV Rebels, St. John’s Red Storm and the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. He is the 22nd rated point guard in the class of 2011 by ESPN.
Is it me or does it seem like everyone who has considered UConn as of late has spurned them and headed somewhere else. You really have to wonder how much of a part the NCAA investigation has played in the recruiting of players.
