Jackie Bradley, Jr., is off to a hot start at the National Team Tryouts. Fresh off a National Championship and the Most Outstanding Player in Omaha, Bradley, Jr, is in Cary, NC at the National Training Center competing for a place in Team USA’s Collegiate National Trials.
The trials began on Monday with 36 prospects and 3 alternates and will continue until the 22 man team is announced on Sunday. During Trials there will be a game everyday from July 6 through July 11.
Jackie had two singles and a run scored in Tuesday’s game and followed up on Wednesday with a 3 for 4 performance which included a double, RBI and run scored.
The final team will travel around the country for several series before traveling to Tiawan to play a series against Chinese Tiapei and will conclude its summer by playing in the FISU World Baseball Championships in Tokyo, Japan.
Bradley, Jr. is the only USC representative in Cary, but other SEC players include:
