Jacoby Ellsbury Comes in Second for MVP

Jacoby Ellsbury was denied the American League MVP as the voters gave it to pitcher and Cy Young winner Justin Verlander.  This is the first time a pitcher has won the MVP since 1986.  Ells posted the following on twitter after the announcement:

“Congrats to Justin Verlander. Thanks to all the writers that voted for me.”
