As if the Blues beating the Red Wings on Wednesday night wasn’t good enough, the team also welcomed a familiar face back to practice – Jaden Schwartz.
Schwartz fractured his ankle back on October 23rd and required surgery to repair the injury. The freak incident, which occurred when he lost his balance and collided into one of the goal posts, initially carried a 12-week timeline.
Though the Blues and coach Ken Hitchcock were cautious in speaking about Schwartz returning to the lineup, it’s clear he’s nearing full health as he is traveling with the team during the current road trip. He last played back on October 20th, but there’s no doubt he’d provide an immediate and needed spark to the St. Louis offense.
