Vito Stellino of the Florida Times-Union reports that the Jacksonville Jaguars released veteran defensive end Reggie Hayward yesterday. Although the Jaguars may be the weakest team in the division, Hayward’s release certainly signifies a rebuilding environment that could affect the team’s performance in 2010. Seeing a division rival bleeding in the way Jacksonville seems to be bleeding is unfortunate, as Colts fans generally enjoy the hard-nosed competition and close games in the AFC South division, one of the two toughest divisions in football for awhile. How this move will affect the match-ups this year is unclear but it will certainly have some impact and is something Colts fans should keep an eye on in this year’s games.
