Jaguars lose rookie WR Allen Robinson to a stress fracture

Charlotte Bobcats v Boston Celtics

The Jacksonville Jaguars received not so good today as they found out that they will be without rookie wide receiver Allen Robinson for the rest of the season due to a stress fracture in his foot.

Robinson was drafted in the second round in this past May’s NFL draft from Penn State. In his NFL career thus far, Robinson has 48 receptions for 548 yards and two touchdowns. In this past Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys in London, Robinson had five receptions for 60 yards as the Jaguars lost 31-17.

Robinson was just starting to become a favorite target of quarterback Blake Bortles, who is also a rookie. With the loss of Robinson, expect the likes of Marqise Lee, Ace Sanders and Allen Hurns to get more targets as they try to complement Cecil Shorts III.
