Former Oakland Raider quarterback JaMarcus Russell made the most of his three day holiday weekend, finishing it off by being arrested Monday in Alabama. Russell, the former number one failure pick, was charged with possession of codeine syrup. The substance is often mixed with 7Up and Jolly Ranchers to form one hell of a knock-out concoction.
This just adds to Russell’s already horrible off-season, which saw him get dropped by the Raiders in early May. I could be wrong, but with his off-field issues, I smell a career as a Cincinnati Bengal in his near future. If that doesn’t pan out, I’m sure Charles Rogers could still use a reputable agent.
