Jared Goff nailed his exit interview, BIG TIME.
In what could be his final collegiate game, Goff went out with a bang, firing not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not even 5, but 6, yes SIX touchdown passes in a 55-36 rout of Air Force as the California Golden Bears won the Armed Forces Bowl on Tuesday afternoon.
After a slow start Goff absolutely tore it up. Completing just 6 of his first 12 passes with a touchdown, Goff went off and finished the game by completing 19 of his next 25 passes with 5 touchdowns. He finished the afternoon 25 of 37 for 467 yards and 6 touchdowns, throwing some beautiful touch passes and deep balls to his talented core of wide receivers.
It almost seemed like the game turned into Goff’s private combine workout, and it was well worth it.
The kid can flat out play, and he’s going to make some General Manger very happy in April. Several of those teams could include the Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys, and San Francisco 49ers.
