Jarrod Maidens’ Concussion Symptoms Return

By now, everyone should know the story — Maidens hasn't played in a game since November 30th, 2011, when he took an inadvertent knee to his head. Jarrod's progress has been well documented and with recent news he was on the Senators' rookie camp roster, there was real optimism his health was in a good place.

I can't even begin to fathom the level of frustration and disappointment after this setback.

To this point, there have been no updates on the severity of his symptoms, but it's an instance like this that serves as a reminder we should be worried about Maidens' health foremost, before worrying about whether he can reward the Senators organization for taking a gamble on him in the third round of 2012 (82nd overall). Fortunately by sending him home, the Owen Sound Attack are looking out for Maidens' best interests here.
