Jason Eugene Terry is a back up shooting guard for the Dallas Mavericks. He is a former Sixth Man of the Year award winner and he can now call himself an NBA champion.
However, those things don’t keep him from saying some really dumb things.
Exhibit eleventy-one courtesy of our friends at Yardbarker:
“Our five men were active,” Terry said according to the Dallas Morning News. “Everybody’s talking about Tyson being gone, but the way (our big men) played tonight, we’ll forget about Tyson real soon.”
Terry is talking about how Brendan Haywood and former San Antonio Spurs big man Ian Mahinmi played against Oklahoma City in a loss where the Mavs allowed the Thunder to score 104 points and the Thunder just played their second game in as many nights and their fourth game in five nights.
The Mavs, by the way, are now 1-4. Maybe this is Jason Eugene Terry’s way of supporting his teammates, but really it just comes off as Eugene responding to people saying Haywood isn’t as good as Tyson Chandler because he’s not.
So please keep talking Eugene. It makes us Spurs fans feel better about not liking you.
