The Sacramento Kings have just sent out an official press release regarding power forward Jason Thompson:
JASON THOMPSON SUFFERS BONE FRACTURE IN RIGHT TOE
SACRAMENTO, CA —- X-rays taken yesterday at the UC Davis Sports Medicine Clinic revealed that Sacramento Kings’ forward Jason Thompson has a non-displaced sesamoid bone fracture in his right great toe. He will wear a walking boot for approximately four to six weeks, at which time Thompson will be re-evaluated.
Thompson is known as a workout warrior in the off-season. With a long summer in front of him, it is unlikely that this injury will have any impact on next season at all. It is unknown how the injury occurred but Thompson flew back to Sacramento earlier in the week, presumably to have the foot looked at.
