Jauron, a terrible liar

Dick Jauron will never get confused with Bill Parcells when it comes to giving good interviews, but the funniest quote of the day had to do with his thought process in firing Schonert.

“It’s nothing we had planned on, obviously,” Jauron said. “Nothing that was enjoyable in any way shape or form, but that’s what occurred. … I wasn’t thinking about firing him three days ago. I wasn’t thinking about it two weeks ago. But when you start thinking about it, I think you need to move on it and do something. When I started thinking about it I gave it a good deal of thought and did it.”

So wait, you didn’t think about firing him 3 days ago, but you all of a sudden had an epiphany after the Detroit game? A game where the majority of the Bills starters didn’t play. Man, Jauron is just terrible with hiding the obvious, this move came from above, end of story. But again this is the same coach who wastes timeouts to see what the temperature of the field is during the 3rd quarter. Maybe he just overthinks everything.
