When the latest season of “Survivor” kicks off September 23, the show (now in its 31st season!) will feature 20 contestants that were selected by public vote.
One contestant that didn’t make the trip to Cambodia to take part in “Survivor: Second Chance” is longtime Major Leaguer Jeff Kent. You might recall the 2000 National League MVP took part in “Survivor: Philippines”…finishing tenth.
“Jeff Kent was a guy that…he didn’t say no, but we said, ‘Look, we have to cut the list down. Are you in or are you out?’” show host Jeff Probst explained. “And he said, ‘You know, call me another time.’ So he was wishy-washy.”
But, hey, if “Survivor” can’t get Kent to compete again…there’s always this guy.
