Around this time last year, The Philadelphia Eagles were dealt with a devastating injury to one of their best players, wide receiver Jeremy Maclin.
The sixth-year receiver out of Missouri tore the ACL in his right knee in July of 2013, and of course wasn’t able to play a single snap in the 2013 season for the Eagles.
However, as a wise artist by the name of Mark Morrison once said, Philadelphia will have ‘the Return of the Mac(lin)’ in the 2014 NFL season.
Maclin has since spent time heavily rehabbing his right knee, and looks to return to the Eagles back to his true form.
Ever since his rookie season, Maclin hasn’t had a season with less than 800 yards. Keep in mind, in all three of those seasons post rookie year, Maclin was behind ex- Eagles WR Desean Jackson on the depth chart, making him the No. 2 man.
With D-Jax now catching the football for NFC East rival Washington Redskins, Maclin is now without a doubt going to be Eagles QB Nick Foles‘ No. 1 target.
Everyone in Philadelphia knows what a healthy Maclin can do, (look at 2011, 964 yards 10 TDs) but the storylines to watch once football kicks off in September, should be if Maclin and Foles can get on the same page and if Maclin looks to be unaffected from his ACL injury in 2013.
