Wednesday, the Oakland A's continues their busy off season by sending reliever Jerry Blevins to the Washington Nationals for a minor league outfielder.
Suffice it to say, the lefty took the news in stride.
“I’m kind of sad to say goodbye to Oakland,” Blevins, who appeared in 281 games across seven seasons with the A's, told the San Francisco Chronicle. “But I’m excited to go to the Nationals, see Gio Gonzalez and my good friend Craig Stammen. It’s exciting to try National League baseball, but the Oakland organization will always have a piece of my heart. It’s bittersweet.”
Then, naturally, he hit Twitter.
I needed to update my avi without notice. I think it was a seamless transition. pic.twitter.com/yLXkWlh6Jn

And, yes, gang…that is a printout of the Nationals logo taped to his cap and shirt.
Awesome.
