As seen on WWE Raw this week, a number of interesting faces made appearances on the show, including top NXT stars Lacey Evans, EC3 and Heavy Machinery. The NXT talents are expected to be making their permanent moves to the WWE main roster as the company continues the “shake-up” which began at the end of 2018.

Also on Raw this week, WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler was spotted coming out of Vince McMahon’s office, as the show took place in Lawler’s hometown of Memphis, Tennessee.

Lawler revealed on the latest episode of his Dinner With The King podcast that he recently signed a new, two-year deal with WWE, which will keep him contracted to the company until 2021.

In addition to signing a new deal, Jerry Lawler revealed he will be making his WWE TV return at the Royal Rumble PPV, at which he will be calling the Men’s Royal Rumble match alongside Michael Cole and former Smackdown Live star and announcer JBL. Lawler added he believes Renee Young will be one of the commentators for the Women’s Rumble match, but he did not confirm the other members of the bout’s announce team.

Lawler noted that his previous WWE deal expired on January 10th of this year, and he was sent a new contract once he informed WWE officials that his contract had expired.

Interestingly, the subject of All Elite Wrestling came up, as Lawler revealed that on January 8th of this year he had not heard from WWE officials about renewing his deal, and he became concerned. When podcast co-host Glenn Moore brought up the possibility of Lawler working with AEW instead of re-signing with WWE, Lawler pointed out that he wanted to re-sign with WWE and is happy to be returning to the company.
