Your Morning Dump… J.O. & Avery Bradley hooping in Vegas

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. Jermaine vegas

Boston Celtics Jermaine O'Neal and Avery Bradley both played in day 1 of Impact basketball's "competitive training series".

J.O.'s team lost at the buzzer as Mo Williams hit a game-winning three. Despite the loss, Jermaine had a very solid outing, going 7 of 11 from the field and scoring 14 points to go with 6 boards. Avery Bradley also played well-he put in 16 points on a near-perfect 7 of 9 shooting night. Bradley also dished-out 5 assists & grabbed 3 boards. At the time this story was posted, I could not find the result/score of his team's game.

The games are being held at Impact's Las Vegas, NV training facility. They hold general workouts and practice each day from 8:30am until 1:30pm-then the games start. There are about 60 NBA players divided into 8 teams. Jermaine is on team "D" which also features Damon Jones, Jamaal Tinsley, Roger Mason Jr and Chauncey Billups. Mr. Big Shot will be joining the squad next week. Bradley is on team "F" with Corey Maggette and JJ Hickson amongst others. Other big names that will play include Derek Fisher, John Wall and Nick Young. There was a rumor going around Twitter on Monday that Blake Griffin would make an appearance this afternoon, but Impact later tweeted that he wouldn't be at the facility today.

The league runs through September 23rd, and will feature playoffs and a championship game. Supposedly the games will be streamed live somewhere on the internet, but today's inaugural contests were not. Impact's Twitter account announced today that there would be "no streaming" on day 1 at least. We'll see if they get it going tomorrow. I hope so, because this guy needs to watch some hoops. Badly.
