In an interview with Sirius satellite radio, Super Bowl winning quarterback Joe Theismann ripped into Oakland Raiders quarterback JaMarcus Russell.
Theismann said, “I can tell you conclusively that JaMarcus Russell never will be able to play QB in the National Football League.” He went on to advocate that the Raiders trade for Jason Campbell from the Washington Redskins.
Theismann played quarterback for the Washington Redskins from 1974 through 1985. He went to the Pro Bowl following the 1982 and 1983 seasons, and was All Pro in ’83.
