JoeBucsFan.com rebuttal on comments

I wanted to wait a full day to offer a rebuttal on comments listed to my Optimist article on JoeBucsFan.com. I have not made the mistake of confusing Parents and Children, this is a family run business, and it would be foolish to think decisions are being made without a family value system in place between all of them. I have met Joel Glazer. He upgraded me from an endzone seat to a 550.00 club seat, and I was a no one to him. Trust me, the Glazers are NOT cheap. Hopefully, like you, the Glazers will continue to spend money when it is of value to do so. Ronde Barber, John Lynch, Warren Sapp, Derrick Brooks, these are the players you invest your money in. Do we have any of those players in 2009? Donald Penn and Barrett Ruud still have the jury out on them, but Id be willing to bet the right decision will be made on them. The Bottom Line is the Glazers understand that they are going to lose money for a short period, but in time a competitive team with players who Bucs fans can identify with will refill the stadium again. Wasting money on expensive free agents, especially when the numbers say you will have to spend more, for worse talent, when the numbers also show the greater odds of success are in the draft. Regardless, there will still be fans out there who would rather have Brandon Marshall than Arelious Benn AND Mike Williams. No matter how long you’ve been a fan. Thats not the way the Bucs were built, and you should remember that.
