The Red Sox have begun the interview process to find their new manager but they are also talking with the Blue Jays to find a compensation package that would work for sending John Farrell to Boston.
Earlier in the week John Farrell said he did not know of any talks between the Red Sox and Jays.
In addition to Farrell, the Red Sox have Tim Wallach, Brad Ausmus, DeMarlo Hale, and Tony Pena Jr. on their list of potential managers.
