John Kelly and Darren Pang combine to form one of the best broadcast duos in the NHL. The two have great chemistry and Kelly’s strong play-by-play abilities gel well with Pang’s color commentary. Some people aren’t fans, which is fine, but most columnists and journalists keep those opinions to themselves to remain professional. Toronto Sun columnist Steve Simmons, an individual who has been ridiculed for some of his outlandish opinions, criticized Kelly and Pang during Game 4 between the Blues and Blackhawks.
I've had to turn off the sound of the St Louis announcing crew. Watching without sound now.

The duo of Kelly and Pang fired back, ripping apart Simmons.
The St Louis broadcast team long ago stopped reading or listening to you. @simmonssteve https://t.co/jKlV1BcQ3m

@Panger40 @simmonssteve I didn't realize you still covered hockey Steve. We don't care if you listen
— John Kelly (@Jkellyhockey) April 20, 2016
That’s a harsh burn by Pang and a great add on from Kelly.
Simmons’ comments are perfectly acceptable coming from a blogger or a fan, but they’re not expected from a fellow mainstream media member.
