Saturday, John Rocker broke the internet when he offered up the next best thing to being on the stage during the Hall of Fame Induction…a night of free drinks!
And, it should have been no surprise to anyone (especially Rocker), that the media ate up like the circus it was. That said…here’s how the former Atlanta Braves reliever responded to his critics, er, everyone.

Now, with all that in the rearview, ladies and gentlemen…here’s the motley crew that won that night of drinking with baseball’s favorite bigot closer-turned-author.

***UPDATE***
Alright, say what you want about John Rocker’s antics (and I know I’ve said plenty)…the group he took barhopping with him during Hall of Fame weekend had a blast.
“I was there,” Boston Red Sox fan Sergey Lazeykin told The Hall Tuesday. “And let me tell you….he had nothing but funny stories. No one there would have one bad thing to say. Imagine hanging and talking to a guy firsthand (about) the late 90’s Braves?”
Lazeykin was, presumably, one of the guys who shelled out five bucks for an opportunity to drink with Rocker. And, it would seem, the former Atlanta closer made good on his promise.
“Rocker bought the first round for about 20 people, including (Marquis) Grissom and Leo Mazzone. (He also bought) a shot of Patron for everyone,” Lazeykin added. “We went to Bocca (Osteria) for about an hour where Rocker answered all questions asked. Then Sherman’s.”
Color me speechless.
