John’s Week 9 Power Rankings

The Titans know how to win, whether it be ugly or convincingly. That is the sign of a great team. If Tennessee can get by the Bears this week, only a home date with the Jets stands in the way of a 14-0 start before the Steelers come to town. The passing attack is still non-existent, but the running game and defense are among the best in the NFL. Since Kerry Collins does not provide anything special through the air, I would switch to Vince Young, who can at least make plays with his legs.

It started with no defense before evolving into a lack of a running game. Now, the Lions have no quarterback. While the winless boys from Motown certainly turn in horrid-looking performances each week, there record does not reflect their recent improvement. The Lions have lost their last 4 contests by a total of 21 points. A couple of plays here and there and this squad would be 1 game back in the NFC North. The best part about this year’s team is that it is so bad, no matter who the team takes in the first round, that player will be an improvement over whoever currently occupies the depth chart.
