On August 31, Jonny Gomes went from the outhouse to the penthouse after being traded from the Atlanta Braves to the Kansas City Royals.
Hours later, his wife Kristi received the following text from fellow baseball wife Amanda (wife of big league pitcher Brandon) McCarthy.

More curious than that random text though is why would Mrs. McCarthy be picking the Royals to win the World Series and not her husband’s Los Angeles Dodgers? I mean, she was right…but, still.
