The string of injuries continues. Jori Lehtera was taken to the hospital after Brandon Saad’s stick came up and caught him in the throat. Despite an official looking right at the play, no penalty was called on this dangerous incident.

Lehtera was bleeding, but it’s believed that was due to an earlier high stick.
The Saad stick to Lehtera was in the throat area. Very dangerous. The bleeding came from a stick prior to that. #stlblues

The team has only labeled this as an upper-body injury (obviously) and they have confirmed Lehtera was taken to the hospital.
