As fans dissect Jori Lehtera’s skill on the ice and eagerly try to predict what he will bring to the table for the St. Louis Blues, the Finnish forward is quietly adjusting to life in St. Louis. In an interview seen on the team’s website, Lehtera revealed what he’s enjoying about in St. Louis as well as one other interesting piece of information.
In regards to St. Louis grocery stores:
Lehtera arrived in town on Tuesday, so he’s only been here a few days. When he was asked about his early impressions of St. Louis, he said “I think everything here is great. I didn’t know it was going to be this good. Even when I go to the grocery store it’s unbelievable. Everything is fresh!”
Who would have guessed that our grocery stores would be such a focal point. Obviously they weren’t enough to keep Vladimir Sobotka in town, but maybe we can convince a few other talented KHL skaters to make the jump. Fresh fruit and vegetables for all!
The Q&A also revealed that Lehtera’s favorite movie is Dumb and Dumber. Yep, he’s going to fit in here just fine.
