We all know what an awesome job Josh Freeman did in 2010, but its starting to come out in other media as well. We heard the Fox announcers give him credit, well this week Pro Football Weekly did a list of 2010’s 50 best football players. Josh Freeman came in at number 27, which is not bad considering that most of the men above him all have anywhere from 5 to 10 years of NFL experience. In only his second season, Freeman came in ahead of Nnamdi Asomugha, Calvin Johnson, Michael Turner, and DeSean Jackson for starters. “In only his second season” quoting the report, “Freeman had to work with a young receiving corps and banged-up offensive line, but he made very few critical mistakes only throwing 6 interceptions. Freeman didn’t allow inexperience to hold him back”. Other QBs who only made the Honorable Mention list are Joe Flacco, Matt Schaub, Matt Cassel (47), and Jay Cutler (40). Ranked above Josh were Ben Roethlisberger (18), Drew Brees (11), and then the entire top five which are from 1 to 5 Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, Michael Vick and Philip Rivers. Pretty good company to be in Josh. Keep up the good work! With only Arrelious Benn reported to be missing off season workouts, Freeman should be able to repeat last years recipe for success by throwing to his receivers during Spring and Summer months.
