Josh Samman Dead at 28

Sad news to report today, as the MMA community has lost a revered member – Josh Samman has died at the age of 28.  The TUF alum was found unresponsive in his South Florida apartment last Thursday, alongside his friend Troy Kirkingburg, who was pronounced dead at the scene.  Samman was in a coma since that time before passing away earlier today.

While rumors and speculation are floating around the internet, partially due to Samman’s past struggles with substance abuse, no official cause of death has been reported at this time.  Samman was 3-2 in the UFC cage, but perhaps gained more attention for his literary work, as he published anwell-received autobiography as well as wrote columns for Bloody Elbow.  He will be missed.
