The Philadelphia 76ers star point guard, Jrue Holiday has earned the right to play with the best-of-the-best in this year’s NBA All-star game.

The third-year pro has averaged 19 points and 9 assists so far this season, which landed him his first all-star honors.

Holiday will be a reserve for the Eastern conference team on Feb. 17 during the NBA’s All-star weekend.

It is a great honor that former Sixers’ teammate; Andre Iguodala had the pleasure of receiving last season.

Holiday took over as “the man” for Philly’s young and talented roster due to the departure of Iguodala this past off-season.

Being the main guy on an NBA team is a difficult job to have, but Holiday has shown on many occasions that he is nothing, but willing to take on the task.

Holiday has been a huge bright spot in the team’s future, although the Sixers are 17-25 halfway through the season.

Look for him to continue to get better as his career continues in the NBA.
