Especially when they are about “juice”.
Around the time of the NFL draft in 2009, there were allegations that former USC linebacker Brian Cushing tested positive for performance enhancing drugs. Personally, I have no idea why anyone would think that:
Today, the Rookie of the year was suspended four games for the upcoming season for… get this… testing positive for steroids.
Not that it will really matter in the NFL.
While this doesn’t directly point back to our favorite “would have been on probation a long time ago if they weren’t the only major program west of the Rockies” team (any more than Mr. Holmes’ pro actions should reflect on Ohio State), it sure doesn’t help the reputation for Southern Cal, who will be notified this summer regarding the ongoing NCAA investigation.
As always, we’ll be watching.
