Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix has the Celtics selecting Kentucky’s Julius Randle with the 5th pick in the draft.

5. Boston Celtics — Julius Randle, PF, Kentucky

Boston has two young power forward prospects in Jared Sullinger and Kelly Olynyk, but Randle’s potential could be too much to pass up. Randle possesses a diverse offensive repertoire. He can score inside and out, drawing comparisons ranging from Zach Randolph to Michael Beasley. The Celtics figure to be active in trade talks this summer, so increasing the team’s frontcourt depth should not be an issue.

The mere mention of Michael Beasley sends me into shock. I get that Randle has potential, but if the Celtics have to move a big, I want Sullinger to stick around.

I posed the question to Mannix and he responded:

If the end game is Kevin Love, I’m willing to part with either Sullinger or the #5 pick.

Speaking of Randle, he’s expected to announce this afternoon that he’ll be entering the NBA draft.
