Karl-Anthony Towns; Efficiency extraordinaire

KAT S

Two seasons in to what promises to be an illustrious NBA career, Karl-Anthony Towns has dominated defenses since day one in the league, doing it at a historical efficiency.

Towns has shown an unbelievable ability to be effective all over the floor.

His shot from behind the arc is a work in progress, but a respectable 36.7% clip ranks him as the second best three point shooter at the center position this past season (with a minimum of 120 attempts)

KAT showed an incredible ability to improve the three ball, shooting at 43.4% on 80 attempts over the last two months of the season.

The long ball may be a shot that still needs work at times, but inside the arc Karl-Anthony Towns is the definition of an ‘Efficiency extraordinaire.’

Oklahoma City Thunder v Minnesota Timberwolves

Towns uses jump hooks with both hands regularly, has a jumper as smooth as butter and athleticism oozing out of the Target Center.

As shown here by Synergy Sports Tech, Towns flaunts an exceptional clip from most every spot on the floor, barring the left-side three ball:

Boasting an Effective Field Goal Percentage (#15) and regular Field Goal Percentage (#25) that are currently sitting in the top 25 of all time in the NBA(!!) will set Towns in good stead to become one of the leagues most dominant players immediately, making it easy to forget he is just 22 years of age.

The defense needs to improve, but if the offensive game can evolve along with that, big KAT’s Timberwolves will be a frightening sight for the opposition.

Efficiency is the staple of Karl-Anthony Towns game at the moment, it remains to be seen if he can improve on his already historic rate.
