Kennedy: “Big John” Apologized to Me for the Romero Fight

In an exclusive interview with Top Turtle MMA Podcast duo “Gumby” and Dave, Kennedy opened up about the spat with McCarthy over the bout two years ago. While he said it’s far from water under the bridge, he says he’s at least a little more at peace now.

After seeing McCarthy at a recent Bellator event, Kennedy said the referee made first contact with him, attempting to apologize. Kennedy said it was a nice gesture, but maybe a bit too late.

“If he had came to me right after and apologize like a man, then we’d be cool.
