KG was at his best today as the Minnesota media welcomed him back to the TWolves. This was not the Kevin Garnett we’ve seen over the past couple of years in Brooklyn. This was the jovial, rollicking, “Big Ticket” we grew to love during his early years in Minnesota and of course while here in Boston. It was very clear that KG is ecstatic to be able to (most likely) finish his NBA career back where it all started.
Some of the highlights:
When asked if he’d ever consider coaching: “HELL NAW..”
When talking about the decision to return to Minnesota: “I figured if Lebron can go home, then shit- why can’t I??”
Greeting Eric Perkins-member of Minnesota media since 1996: “I see you got your own show now…aww you big time Perk!”
This press conference really made me realize just how much I miss KG. Minnesota is very fortunate to have him back to mentor their core of young talent. I can’t wait to see the ovation Garnett gets when he finally takes the floor in Minneapolis.
