As Kevin Garnett’s China visit continues, he spoke with Sina Sports about the Nets’ title hopes and how this summer has been “up and down” for him emotionally. The Big Ticket sat down with Sina’s Li Shuangfu:

“This summer, my emotions have been up and down. Boston was always good to me-a great city with great fans. They will forever have a place in my heart. I always wanted to retire a Celtic, but failed to do so. My career has since moved in another direction and I’m looking forward to it-I have great expectations.”

KG was asked about his new team, and said he has had dinner with DWill & trained a bit with him in L.A. As far as his thoughts on Brooklyn’s chance to compete for a title, he had this to say:

“I already feel this is a championship-caliber team. They definitely have the temperament of a champion & Deron has a strong heart & strong personality-he’s a good leader-Joe Johnson too. They’re team players and I’m happy to join them.”

On the Miami Heat:

“Miami is a very powerful team. They’ve played together for some time, and took the title by relying on unity & cooperation…”

On playing the four or five while with the Nets:

“Playing ball is the most important, no matter what position-I have no particular preference. But if I had to choose between the four and the five, I would definitely choose the four. Brook (Nets’ center Lopez) has become one of the league’s top inside players…I’ve always admired his style, attack & defense.”
