Dear Bills,
Sorry that I did an epic fail with predicting the score of this game. I thought for sure that you wouldn’t win your first game until next week but obviously, I was wrong. The offense was all over the Chiefs defense today and they could not contain you whatsoever. It was nice to see that the preseason stays in the preseason and that you guys were providing some great defense as well. A score of 41-7 is something to sneeze at, even if Kansas City isn’t that great of a team.
The Beard had a great game and again, it’s so refreshing to watch a quarterback actually throw the ball down the field. Not only that, he was passing to tight ends. Tight ends! How did no one cover Scott Chandler after he had already made a few touchdowns and then he ends up making another one? It’s amazing to me that the Chiefs defense left him wide open when it was obvious Fitz was going to pass to him all day. I think narrowing down my favorite Bill has become a hell of a lot easier…
Freddy Jackson continues to prove his worth with his rushing game and I like his swagger. There’s that word, swagger. I can tell you that I would much rather see him making those types of plays over Spiller for the meantime. Though, kudos to CJ on getting his first touchdown in professional play. It was nice to see a lot of guys contributing on the board.
Also, hell of a catch by Steve Johnson on one of the touchdowns. He got a lot of lift and was able to catch the ball after a 27-yd throw. It was kind of awesome to see on live TV. Actually, all of what happened during the game was pretty exciting. I think if things like this can continue to happen with this team, I might actually enjoy this season.
Now it’s only 1-0 for you boys on the season but you come home to play Oakland next week. Hopefully you can put on the same show you did in Kansas City but instead, do it for the home crowd this time.
Go Bills.
