The Sacramento Kings announced that they have picked up the fourth-year option on shooting guard Ben McLemore.

With the NBA’s salary cap rising rapidly and seeing players like Reggie Jackson making more than John Wall, it became evident this decision would be made.

Now with the option officially picked up, the former Jayhawk should be expecting a little over $4 million during the 2016-2017 season.

McLemore who averaged 12.1 points last season, will look to have a true breakout season during this 2015-2016 campaign.

He is going to be given every opportunity to prove his worth over these next two years. But with the Kings having a great mixture of veterans and youth, both pushing and teaching McLemore, there is nothing to do but to root for the 22-year-old.
