The Sacramento Kings signed David Wear to a 10-day contract, according to the team’s press release.
Wear was invited to Kings training camp last summer and was waived in the final round of cuts. The 6-foot-10, 235-pound forward appeared in one preseason contest totaling no points and one rebound in three minutes of action.
The 24-year-old undrafted rookie joined the Reno Bighorns on November 2 and averaged 16.3 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 43 games. A 42.3 percent shooter from downtown at North Carolina and UCLA, Wear made 39.4 percent of his 3’s with the Bighorns and was invited to the D-League Three-Point Contest.
With his addition, the Kings’ roster is full with 15 players. Wear will don No. 31 and is expected to be available on Tuesday when Sacramento hosts the Philadelphia 76ers.
